Support for metrics is finally available! 🚀

We have been working hard in order to make our user interface useful and simple. Even though we have taxonomy feature which allows you to add labels, categories and descriptions to your tables and views but for non-technical people, it’s still a bit blurry to analyze metrics such as revenue, unique users or sessions because every time they use our Segmentation feature, they need to define them again and again.

That’s why we developed metrics, you define what are measures, what can be groupable and pivotable and use them in Segmentation easily. Here is how you can define the metrics:

Later on, in Segmentation feature, you can use it as follows:

As you can see, I just selected my Transaction data-set, clicked the Revenue in predefined metrics section and now I’m able to drill-down the data and see the breakdowns easily.

The metrics feature is basically an alternative to Looker’s Explore but we can use our UI in order to define metrics so we don’t require you to use any third party language such as LookML.

Please let us know if you have any feedbacks or feature request, you can play with the demo data here: https://rakam.io/demo
